Ministry of Human Resource Development(MHRD) issued a notice for Joint Entrance Exam(JEE)to be held in 2013. As per this notification Joint Entrance Exam would be held in two parts – JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
It can be briefly summarized as below,

1. To conduct JEE Main, the ministry has constituted a board ‘JEE Apex’.
Chairman of JEE Apex Board – Ashok Mishra, former director, IIT-Mumbai
Members of JEE Apex include :-
3. JEE Advanced exam would be held on June 2, 2013
4. JEE Advanced exam will consist only of multiple choice questions
5. The JEE Advanced will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur in rotation and it would be assisted by all the other IITs of the country.
6. Top 1.5 lakh students would appear for JEE Advanced.

- Representatives from AICTE,
- HRD ministry and state representatives, where IITs are situated
