Maharashtra state will adopt common entrance test format from 2013, 50 percent weightage to XII board marks

Reportedly Maharashtra state will adopt Common Entrance Test model suggested by HRD minister Kapil Sibal from 2013, including Indian Institute of Technology and National Institute of Technologies.


In a press conference state technical education minister Rajesh Tope said – “A proposal in this regard has been prepared and will soon be presented to the state Cabinet for its approval.” ”Maharashtra government will give 50 per cent weightage to marks scored by students of both English and non-English medium schools in their class XII exam”, Tope said
